[Heathkit] SB-610 sweep help needed

[W2HX]

It could be that the neon lamp is not firing. Either because it is defective
(old) or not enough voltage is being produced across it.  And in my opinion,
definitely mess with it, it's the only way to become an experienced
troubleshooter. (just watch your fingers!)

If you are not an experienced troubleshooter you should not be messing with 
it.

How do you know the sweep is not working. Is there a green spot?
