I got ripped off buying one on eBay some years ago.   Beautiful looking 
tuner, except when I took it out of the packing box it felt a bit light 
- the motors, drives and all the RF components had been removed!    The 
seller wasn't a ham, but I suspect he knew things weren't quite right, 
and I think I did finally get him to rebate some money.    You can guess 
what the deal was - someone built a remote auto-tuner, and I'll bet 
there's a NEMA box on a tower or in a scrap yard somewhere with the guts 
of an SA-2500 inside!
