I found this out when I removed the crystal filter bracket today. There is a
small hole in the chassis, below the crystal filters. It allows access to
the bottom slug of the VFO output coil. If you don't have the tool that
allows you to slip through the top slug, this seems to be a way to access
it. It should allow somebody to stagger-tune the transformer for even output
level over the VFO range.
