100% isopropyl alcohol works well. Rubbing alcohol contains isopropyl but also contains water and will not work. Easiest to find source of 100% isopropyl alky in small quantities is isopropyl formulation gas line anti-freeze from the auto parts store or many other suppliers. Be certain that the bottle's label states that it is an isopropyl formulation; otherwise, most of the gas line anti-freeze is methanol which does not work very well.
