[Heathkit] SB dial

Are dial components consisting of the two beryllium(?) washers plus the 1/4" 
drive shaft and panel bushing utilized on the SB-xxx series available 
anywhere?
I have one vfo tuning dial that has a "wobble"
There is an excessive slop in the fit between the shaft and bushing and one 
of the two pinch washers is cracked
Has anyone ever attempted to improve this mechanical component? Adapt to 
ball bearing race perhaps? Maybe sleeve a larger bushing with teflon?
