When changing mains supply it's pretty easy to figure the
fuse change. The total power remains constant, so
P = E*I
If the fuse is rated for, say 3 A, and you double the voltage
supply, then the actual current demand is cut in half, and one
can do the same for the fuse, that is, use a 1.5 A fuse.
If you go the other way, that is cut the line voltage in half,
then the current demand doubles, and one would double the fuse
rating, in this case to a 6 A fuse.
