Jack
I have the schematic on the 630 but no listing on the lamp
My guess it is same lamp as used in the SB-620 sweep circuit
It is a lamp with special characteristics that make it suitable for use as a
voltage regulator and in relaxation oscillators
I have a few spares from repairing 620's
About the only reasonable way to get one is buy 10
I don't remember the number off hand but if you need more help email me and
I'll look it up.
PS a neon will work on ac or dc. On dc only one electrode will be lit and
that is an indicator of polarity
