[Heathkit] Regulator for PS-9000 Power Supply

I already downloaded the data sheet (which is how I found the test circuit
in the first place).

I'm using R1 and R2 values based on the data sheet.

I'm using a separate power supply for the reference voltage and adjusting it
to 5V. Am I supposed to be doing this (using a separate supply)? I basing
this on the statement that the nominal reference voltage is 5V, which tells
me I can use what I want for the reference voltage and adjusting R1 and R2
accordingly.

Thanks
