[Heathkit] Soft-Start circuit for SB-1000

I've finally started work on cleaning up an SB-1000 I purchased from an
estate last spring.

The amp had a couple of home-made modifications - one I'm pretty sure is
a soft-start circuit and the other is ??? maybe a QSK circuit?? What
appears to be a soft-start module looks to be fairly well constructed,
but it is a breadboard so I'm assuming it is homemade. The other circuit
looks like a child got loose with a soldering iron, and has 2 dangling
leads that go nowhere. Because of that, I haven't even tried to power it
on. I think this also has a 10 meter mod.

My strategy is to pull out anything that doesn't match the
manual/illustrations/schematic and bring this back to a base SB-1000 and
see if it works. If the board that appears to be a soft-start is in fact
usable, I guess I should leave it. The other circuit is out.

To my question (finally)..

Is there a good schematic available of what a soft-start circuit should
be and how it should be connected in an SB-1000? I'd like to verify what
I have.

Thanks!
