Since YOU refuse to read any off-list comments on this topic, the only
recourse is to say it public ally.  You are actually contradicting your
own guidelines.

If the moderator of this list had done his job, it would not have
degenerated to the level seen.  You paint the victim (Carl) and the
perpetrator (Jim) with the same bush.  So much for today's system of
justice (injustice).  Yes Carl is outspoken.  It can be refreshing
especially in this day of so much b.s.  Some people prefer to live in
their make believe world of b.s.

When someone PUBLICLY attacks me with smart aleck, condescending
remarks, I will PUBLICLY fire back.  If the moderator (referee) nips it
in the bud, it wouldn't get out of control.  This should be obvious.
Watch most sports events.

The moderator here takes most of the blame.

There is no excuse for grown men doing this. If you feel the need to

dunk the other guy, go for it! Just do it off the list, please.

You have already gotten people upset on every list you are subscribed to

Carl, take the hint and stop posting a post to every post and several 
replies to every reply etc.

Keep this list peaceful, reasonable on topic and stop the ridiculous 
bickering.

And for what it is worth, I am not going to bothering read any
complaints 
about putting my foot down on this nonsense. So don't bother send them.
