[Heathkit] HW-101 het. osc. problem on 20m?

Hi there,

An HW-101 I restored a few years back is giving me some troubles on 20m SSB.
When I key the mic, I get an almost 100W carrier on LSB and 50W on USB. Of
course there should be no carrier at all. This problem occurs only on 20
meters (on 10 and 80 there is also a trace of a carrier but not too
bad...yet). The problem does not occur with the 400 Hz CW filter switched
in. Could this be caused by a failing 20m heterodyne oscillator crystal?

I appreciate any hint you can provide me with.
