[Heathkit] Differences between HG-10 and HG10B VFO?

Dave:

I never did any measurements, but its pretty stable. Like any vacuum
tube design, it pays to let it warm up for about 30 minutes. Heath paid
a lot of attention to stability issues. hey used good quality
capacitors, and ceramic coated inductors. Also, there is an internal
regulator tube. When I did have stability and chirp problems, it was
due to a faulty 6CH8 oscillator tube. Some tubes will oscillate fine but
will chirp on the higher bands and will drift when keyed. Try to find a
couple of spare tubes, just in case.
