Thanks Dan for this response. I have not enjoyed reading this thread. I
hope it ends with this explanation.

Subject: [Heathkit] Reason for BAMA question de N4VET
Well, fellows I was not going to send another email on this subject but
after a review of the post tonight I thought I would let you get to know me
a little bit better.
I did not want the Heathkit manuals for my use.
I have manuals for all I own.
The search on BAMA, by me, was for a manual for a Heathkit SB-614.
The manual was not for me but for a HAM in GA. who is an older guy without a
computer or internet service.
He was asking around for the information from a small group of us who get
together and talk late at night on the bands.
I told him I might be able to find him the information and maybe help him
repair his rig over the air or on the phone.
Felt I could give something back to a great hobby; that sort of thing you
know.
I don't think this HAM can afford to pay for much but he does give of his
time to be a VE.
I felt he was deserving so I tried to help him.
Anyway, if any of you gentlemen can send him a copy of an SB 614 manual I am
sure he would be grateful.
Here is his address.
William A. Peterson Sr.
6630 Tot Drive
Blackshear GA.
31516.
That's it and thanks for all the input.
This is a fine group of guys and I am sure someone will step up.
As for me lesson learned.
73,
Dan/N4VET
