There is no requirement that a copyright be "filed" with any office.  By registering a copyright you do make it easier to collect damages from someone who violates the copyright, especially "treble" damages.  However, everything is automatically copyrighted when produced and no registration is needed.

For those who wish to register material it is possible to put everything that they have written (or otherwise produced) for a certain period of time and call it like "the works of me for 2008" and submit the entire number of items for a single registration fee instead of registering every item as a single item and paying a separate fee on each one.

Well, the copyright doesn't expire until 70 years after the death of the author or before 2047 the way I read it, if in fact they were filed with Copyright office.
