HI Paul,

The issue is the 850 probably has a 12v keying circut. The SB-200 has probably a 150 volt line that needs to be grounded which would fry the 850 relay   Just guessing as I don't have either radio. So you need to find a relay that is a 12 v one (or whatever the 850 uses for keying) and use the contacts on that external relay to key the SB-200. Does the same thing but with an additional relay. You do however need to have that relay in a protected case so little fingers or curious paws cannot touch it. 

Good luck if I can answer any thhing more please feel free to ask. However I hope someone form the Heathkit list with an SB-200 would step forward and help.
