Many were part of the debunking, JI simply tries to take the credit but he
has also been debunked by many in several other areas and has left any forum
where he was challenged.
My part in the Measures discussions was bringing out the real reason for
SB-220 switch arcing and the cap across the switch cure which was innovated
in the NCL-2000 design in 1963 and I was on the design team. Im sure it
wasnt a virgin idea.
I also debunked JI's and a few cronies who wouldnt accept the use of
nichrome for treating real parasitics. My own experience again goes to
National when a 1KW jeep mounted Army amp using a 4CV1000A7 would not tame.
The oldest engineer on the project ordered a small roll of fairly large
gauge nichrome and that did it.
Later on I learned that its use in amps went back to the late 20's. Some
were not happy to hear that.
It is also mentioned in QST of the 30's.
