[Heathkit] SB-310 Modifications

I'm once again considering making modifications to my SB-310. A year or
so ago, I tried replacing the 6BZ6 RF Amp with a 6GM6 for better gain,
noise, and linearity. However, in some bands it liked to oscillate. When
not oscillating, the modification provided much better gain and noise and I
would like to return to this tube as a replacement.

I don't want to use the 6HS6 even though there was quite a bit of
interest in it. It's an expensive tube and reportedly had a short lifetime.
There's little advantage to using the 6CB6 except if you're operating in the
transition region, which is very unlikely.

Anyone know of a published modification using the 6BZ6?

Chris
