Yep!  Just like in the old Motorola "T" Power and the Motrac series you can definitely hear the transistors "sing"!

I should know to always get a manual first. I was using the pin diagram from my SB-102 manual which shows the 11 pin radio plug end. I had no idea that there was a relay in the HP-13A. BTW, when I energize the relay I get a medium/high pitch'whizzing' sound. Is that normal?
