[Heathkit] CL-33M Manual

Group,

I became licensed in 1980. I was 30 years old. A military career got
in the way of getting into the hobby earlier.

Anyway, those facts aren't relevant. The parts that are, are the ones
where other hams contributed their parts, information, and assistance at
no or minimalist cost.

My first experience was an older ham that GAVE me a plate transformer.
He sold me the chassis that included the tune and load capacitors along
with a roller inductor with turns counter for a paltry sum of $20,
IIRC. He tossed in the NIB 813s.

This is where I learned to practice the way I do.

I've sat and worked on a transceiver for hours to make it work for a new
member to the community. I taught him code too.

I do NOT expect anything in return. I get personal satisfaction from
the way I conduct myself.

The amplifier I was building came out just fine. Unfortunately a moving
company managed to shorten the VERY stout cabinet about an inch and a
half during one of my re-assignment moves.

Thanks Chuck for YOUR words! They are appreciated, and it's nice to
know that there are MORE like myself and the others in this thread!
