[Heathkit] Re: SB-201/200 no output on any band

Hi all,

About a week and a half ago I posted a request for advice on my SB-201 (converted to SB-200) with no output. Many of you had a lot of helpful hints. I was going to take a little time this evening to work on it and I thought I'd start by noting meter readings under various settings. The first time that I keyed the amp I saw arcing. My problem turned out to be where the 15/10 meter tank coil and C24, the 1000pf knob capacitor, mount to C25 tuning capacitor. The coil and cap were mounted to C25 in a manner where the lug for the coil was touching the frame of C25 shorting all of the output to ground. The amp is now working as it should.
