Glen, you are completely correct, the colors were different even when new.
When the SB-200 and 220 came along I built many for customers as I was doing 
all the way back to the DX-100. Never did the other SB stuff.

Age, sun, stability, or whatever just doesnt cut it when I opened freshly 
packed boxes. A particular gray-green doesnt get lighter and darker either; 
it changes one way or the other.
