The GIF format used on many of the older schematics on BAMA come out large because they were scanned at much higher DPI using other formats (i.e. JPEG) and when converted to GIF the DPI drops but the size increases.
What I do is to use a graphics program and first convert the DPI (usually 72) of the GIF to like 300. Then I reduce the size of the file so that it fits the normal 8.5 inch by 11 inch page. That usually produces a printed copy that is very sharp. Now you definitely want to convert the DPI before reducing the size because that increases the "sharpness" of the final product. If you reduce the size before printing you lose a whole lot of detail. After converting I save the image as a JPEG just in case I need to print it again.

I have acquired a watt meter that the board has been butchered. I need the schematics and a copy of the board so I can try to rebuild it. Lines have been cut and wires soldered to places I know they don't go. I tried the BAMA site, but when printing they come out too small to read or so large it takes 10 or more pages to try to paste them together. Can anyone direct me to a site I can get a 1:1 schematic on one or two pages and a copy of the board. Actually it would be nice if someone has a new board to sell but I doubt that happens.
