[Heathkit] WTB 9 pin plugs (tube plugs) with shell/shrouds

These 9 pin plugs were used on a number of Kenwood rigs in the 70's.
Also, Kenwood used these on a number of car stereo's and home stereo's
and several tape recorder manufacturers also used them for internal
module connections. I don't believe anyone makes them anymore. Maybe a
hifi repair shop might have some kicking around. You might also consider
a 9 pin vacuum tube extender and cobble something together with that. I
see them at times on flea market tables.
Here's a thought. Lots of computer related stuff and cable connectors
have round gold plated pin type terminals. Find one of these, remove 9
pins from whatever has them, and insert them in a 9 pin tube socket. Flow
some solder into each tube socket hole to secure each pin. Make sure each
pin protrudes out of the socket with the same length.. The back/bottom
side of the socket has your wire or component connections. Unfortunately,
I haven't thought far enough ahead to come up with a rear cover but a
plastic cap from a bottle of shampoo comes to mind.
