[Heathkit] Marauder HX-10

Good morning guys !
 I have a question with the spotting signal on a
HX-10. When in CW or AM modes, I have a loud clear
spotting signal that is easy to zero beat. However,
when in LSB or USB there is VERY little or no signal
heard. I may just be overlooking something, happens
all the time !!. Any ideas would be appreciated.
