Howdee,
I've scanned the manual, but am having trouble getting it up to BAMA.
Perhaps it's too big, I'm thinking like 64 MB or so. I'd sure like to get it
up there so that it's available free, especially since BAMA has done me
handy so often.
Perhaps some fine person here on this list has the big fancy expensive Adobe
program to scrunch these page files into and Acrobat and send 'em up to
BAMA, please? I guess said person would also have to have a fairly good
internet connection to get the filz in the first place, and the time and
heart to take on the project.
In any event, here's the link to the pages I scanned:
http://butwheat73.googlepages.com/heathkitha-14hp-24page
Also, there's another page offa that page that deals with pictures of my
HA-14. I have a large number of photos of the inside of it that are
currently residing on the memory card of my wife's digicam. I intend to get
these uploaded there soon, so if that interests you, check back soon.
There're also some scans related to the HA-14 there, and more available from
me if asked.
Now if only I could find an HA-14 F.S. to go along with my HA-14 / HP-24 set
! I'm also very curious about specs on the (toroidal?) power transformer
in the HP-14, and the choke. I thrashed about in my '56 ARRL Handbook but it
only talked about vibrator DC-DC supplys (hash generators, heheheh). My ARRL
Handbooks seem to go in every 10 year jumps, so mebbe someone with a better
collection would tell be which year would cover this type of power supply
better. I also didn't see info on this in my William Orr handbooks . . .
Even though I'm NOT a Michigan State University fan, in this list I'll,
nevertheless, say:
GO GREEN,
