[Heathkit] DX-60B BANDSWITCH

If you cannot find a replace wafer you can carefully
"drill out" the rivit holding the bad contact and then
replace it with a contact removed from another switch.
 Use a small machine screw and nut that you can get
for eyeglass repair. If you talk "real nice" to the
technician at your local "mall" eyeglass place he/she
will probably give you some.

Using this method is a whole lot simpler to accomplish
than removing the bandswitch to replace the wafer.

Over the years I have repaired many rotary switches
using this method.

I have a nice little DX-60B that would arc only on
80m. I traced it down to a broken finger contact on
the Bandswitch that is only in use on 80m. Does
anyone know a source of a replacement wafer for this
switch? The wafer that needs replacing is a 2-pole,
5-position ceramic wafer. I'd appreciate any leads
you might have.
