Hello Cory and the list.

Actually, no. On common axial electrolytic caps, the black end (which is an
insulating material) will be your positive lead. It's also identified by
the indented ring or groove near one of the ends.
The can, or body, is negative, so you will note that the negative lead is
attached directly to it.

That's affirmative, Sarge.

Could also be a ground-loop, too.

Thanks for the kind words, Cory. We've sold about 180 can-type caps and
kits since February, thanks to our wonderful customers and friends. Most
recently we've started stocking the multi-section can-cap for the Hammarlund
HQ-129X. We also did our first prototype Halli SX-117. On the Heathkit
front, we stock DX-60, DX-100, HR-10, HW-16, SB-301, SB-303 (no cans),
SB-310, SB-313 (no cans), and SB-401, in both complete recap kits and cans
only. The rest we can get on about 2 weeks notice. We also stock many
Drake units including the 2-A, 2-B, most R-4 variants, T-4, T-4X, most
TR-4's and the TR-4C.
Couldn't do it without the generous technical help of many folks from this
list.
I apologize for this shameless outburst of capitalism, but after all, Cory
tee'd it up so perfectly, hi HI!
Tnx again es vy 73,
