[Heathkit] SB-620 Question

Have an SB-620.
Went through alignment process as per manual.
Problem is I have more vertical deflection on left hand side of scope than 
on right of center line.
Also, if I move the vertical position control on the back of the scope the 
base line goes off horizontal after it goes up over half way.
At the top it is at a position that is going from 10:00 to 4:00.
I am sure this is related to the first problem.
The manual does not refer to this problem in the trouble shooting section.
Trace is nice and sharp and bright as is the pip.
Has anyone had this problem in the past before I take out the meters and 
start to look for the problem?
Could save me some time.
