Not necessarily. I just did a quick search and calculation for those 
recently sold on that auction place. I found 7 which had been sold 
within the last month. Minimum price was $310, maximum price 
was $405, and average price for the 7 of them was $358.29.

(The reason I chose that auction place is because it is an almost 
perfect example of supply-and-demand pricing.)

You can often obtain better (lower) pricing buying direct in a one-
on-one situation, but the amp, if in nice shape, is certainly worth at 
least $350.00, it seems to me.

If I were in your shoes, I would ask the seller to knock a little off the 
price simply because he wouldn't have to ship it.

For the SB-220, out of 6 sold in the last month, the average price 
was $604. Low was $465, while high was $710. There was one that 
was "pickup only" that went for $322.00. I didn't count that one.
