Quite a few of the Heath equipment was manufactured
for the European market including the DX-100U, the
DX-40U, the VF-1U, etc. They generally used European
numbered tubes which were pretty much the equivalent
of those used in the versions sold in North and South
America. The cabinets and panels were generally
slightly different from those that we are most
familar.
These were manufactured, according to the labels,
directly by Daystrom which was one of the companies
that owned Heath during the time that they were in the
electronic kit business. Several of the "U" versions
are shown in Penson's book about Heathkit.

Keep in mind that the British mains voltage is 240VAC
50Hz. I don't recall seeing much if any Heath
equipment with anything but a single 120 volt primary.
