[Heathkit] IM-17 Question

I picked up one of these on ebay, thinking it would just be nice to have a high impedance analog voltmeter. It came with no manual, just the unit.

Well, I see it has this TR-126 battery that is not made anymore. In doing a google search, some old tempe posts make it sound like you can use a 9 volt transistor battery "with the adjustments as defined in the manual".

This manual is not on BAMA, nor have I found one floating around somewhere, at the price I was obviously hoping to find one at. Does anyone have these instructions "as defined in the manual", or does anyone have a scanned version of the manual they have posted somewhere? It looks like an interesting little meter and I'd like to get it operable for those times when an analog meter is just the thing to have.

Thanks in advance,

Dennis, NU8S
