I added a toggle switch in the base of my older TU-8G
stand so that I can come directly from the microphone
cartridge of the D-104 or through the preamplifier.
Also, I rewired the microphone so that the 9 volts
from the battery goes through the PTT switch and the
battery lasts MUCH longer in that it is not in the
circuit until the PTT is activated. Of course when
coming directly from the cartridge the preamplifier is
not used.
