[Heathkit] Looks like a D104 Project Cont.

Well, I got a hold of something that looks like a diagram and seems the  
wires are as they should be.
I found that I am getting a short from shield to audio.
I think that this is the problem.
Should not be any continuity between those two.
It shorts even without the PTT bar pushed in.
I have checked the mic cord and mic plug.
They are fine.
Took mic cord off and took reading from shield on bus to white audio  get a 
short.
In the morning I am going to check further upstream at the switch  itself.
That is the only other place to look.
I removed the amp board and still have short.
Removed the head and still have short.
Removed the battery still have short.
Has to be in the PTT switch.
Any ideas I might have missed?
