Well my story lies between Scotts and Johns, but with about the same 
outcome as Verns...

A buddy and I were at an estate auction that had  a lot of hi-fi and 
audio stuff.  I opened the lid on some kind of amplifier and peeked 
inside, but my buddy saw something tucked inside.  Turned out to be an 
old wallet containing fifteen $100 bills.   We turned it into the 
auctioneer who gave it to the daughters of the estate.  They gave my 
buddy $5 for his trouble ;-)

The only other thing I've  found inside an old radio was a little 
pamphlet that was printed in Spanish.  I asked a friend what it was and 
he looked at me kinda funny and said it was basically Mexican 
pornography.   Text mode, obviously!
