[Heathkit] How does a parasitic suppressor work?

Toms explanations can often put you to sleep.
Look at the suppressor coil as a series resonant choke at the VHF parasitic.
It will pass HF RF but block the parasitic. The parasitic has to go
someplace and the resistor acts as a dummy load; is not seen by the HF RF.

Subject: [Heathkit] How does a parasitic suppressor work?
There is a very complete analysis of parasitic suppressors at the next
address:
http://www.w8ji.com/vhf_stability.htm
but I do not really grasp how they work.
Any help?
Thanks in advance
