operating properly and also on quality of amplifier's output LOAD. *
Was the good "station test load" on the amplifier's output when you made the input tests,
also was the plate circuit properly tuned when you made the input impedance tests?
* unless the input is heavily swamped

You say the impedance is 50 ohms, what was the Reactance?
