[Heathkit] Paint gun for boat anchors

What do you call a "model gun system" ?
IMO an airbrush is way too small for many boatanchor jobs. Nozzle sizes are
in the 0.3mm range and each painting pass covers only about an inch or so.
Cheap airbrushes are single action and internal mix. The better ones are
dual action with external mix. And mini compressors of any quality are not
cheap.
The next step up would be called a mini gun aka "Jam Gun". These are gravity
feed non HVLP but still require at least a 1hp compressor. These are popular
for larger models such as RC planes and nozzle sizes are in the 0.6 to 1.0
mm range. You can get decent coverage but they lack the finesse of the
HVLP's wide range of adjustments.
I own several airbrushes and mini guns but dont use them for radio work.
Examples of both types can be found from that Ebay vendor I referenced
earlier.
With many homeowners purchasing moderate size compressors these days for air
tools, wood working, and many other uses, the addition of a nice HVLP touch
up gun will set him back under $50 including regulator and in line filter.
