To add to what Doc said:
The parts in the old gear are like a tow chain - they are only as strong as 
their weakest link.
You replace bad part # 1 and then part #2 goes bad and so on. Especially on 
electrolytics, if you replace just one this problem can occur, so it is 
always good practice to replace all of them. . .
