And another Heathkit pops back into service!
A good time to look over any potential down-the-road problems like board to
frame grounds
and ssb generator varicap and pot. These are typically frequent problem
areas for the 401. If it's running on the original plate supply caps you
might want to consider replacing them. The transmitter will do the 100W
output without problems but the power supply is known to get flakey due to
old electrolytics.

The Sunday nets are all on 14.292 and start (1845Z) with Hallicrafters net
then Vintage SSB then Heathkit net. Lots of oldies to hear. If I can hear
the nets I will check in with my Eldico SSB 100F and SX 101A.
