The retail scuttlebutt is that prices will actually rise some time
before, and continue for some period of time after, cutover. However,
those price increases may be offset by higher manufacture quantities,
with cheaper parts per unit, and/or higher retail inventories. Why wait;
enjoy the higher picture and sound quality now unless you enjoy keeping
your "money" in a shoe box for that "rainy day".
