I would say no.  You can substitute ceramic composition.  See

Is it OK to use 33 ohm Metal Film resistors for the 33 ohm Carbon Comp 
resistors in the grid lines on the SB200?  I wasn't sure if the metal films 
were a no-no in grid lines?  In general, is there anyplace in an amp where 
metal film's should not be used/substituted?
