[Heathkit] RX-1 Mohawk Receiver Opinions Wanted

I run an Apache to which I have removed the 6AL5 clipper tube, added some 
0.047 caps across the original audio coupling caps and increased the cathode 
bypass cap on the audio driver from 4 MFD to 50 MFD.  Reports are "broadcast 
quality audio".

I am thinking about obtaining a Mohawk to make the pair.  Thanks for the 
collective comments on the receiver and it AGC issues.
