Guys, thanks much for all the help in getting one of my AT-1's up and running. It worked!
Now have another AT-1 that was modified with a 6BQ6 final. Supposedly it was to really increase the power. . .by a whopping 10 watts or so! Quite frankly, the AT-1 is pretty well butchered up, but I'd like to get it working if I can.
I recall the 6BQ6 modifications were in an old QST magazine. (That kind of dates me, huh?) Did some research and it was in October 1955 edition by a person named Lew McCoy. I don't have that issue.
QST wants to sell the CD with the old article on it (along with several years of QST magazines on the CD). Just wondered if anyone had a copy of this particular article.
This AT-1 is not getting any B+ to the final, and it is clear that some of the wiring in/from the PS has been modified. (I thought it was simply missing the jumper from pin 3 to pin 4 on the back, but that isn't the issue.) The original schematic and the modified wiring don't match up. The article/schematic would be helpful if someone has a copy.
Thanks again.
