Dennis,
If you need an amp I'd probably build it. This is an Ameritron
AL-80A in Heath clothing. Due to this reason I somehow doubt
that it will have the crazy unbuilt value that say an SB-200
would have.
Overall the AL-80A was a pretty decent amp and the new cost of
the current generation AL-80B is around $1000. Let your need
for an amp like this and that price be your guide. Of course
weigh in that it would make for a fun project to bolt together!
Somehow I'm not convinced that you could get $1000 for the kit
so you might do best to build it. If it were a true Heath amp
then sell the kit on an online auction site then buy an Alpha ;)
