Off-topic, I know, but I'm compelled to respond to this.

So according to you I have to be a Ham to be a member of a list devoted
to a manufacturer which made as many SWL or general coverage radios as
anything else?

And the identity of the "troublemakers" would be determined by ... you,
perhaps? I thought so.

(Obligatory inflammatory reference:)
Why not just tattoo their arms?

While that sounds terribly important I just don't give a rat's enough to
check you out. What I do know though is that there's a big difference
between sworn law enforcement officers and a diverse group of people
interested in a particular brand of radio. Again, I presume that what
constitutes "less-than-desireables" is determined by - lemme guess - you?

No, Mr. Laffoon, it's you, and your attitude, which are offensive. I'm
not a Ham and yet I would ask that you distance yourself from Amateur
Radio when you make such statements. My Ham friends are besmirched by
your words. You owe them and the members of this list an apology.
Sincerely,
Fred Olsen
