I think you mean the HG-10B.  The frequency coverage is the same.  I 
believe the only difference is the paint, the HG-10 matches the DX-60, 
DX-60A and HR-10, while the HG-10B matches the paint of the DX-60B, 
HR-10B and HW-16.  As far as stability goes, any given HG-10B might be 
anywhere from pretty good to terrible.  If it's terrible, it can be 
repaired to pretty good, as a rule.  Like all the VFO's in this 
category, they're best if you don't key them.  If you want QSK and thus 
*have* to key them, the yoop and chirp gets worse as you get above 40 
meters.  There are some tricks to help minimize this, however.

If matched-looking equipment is not important, I personally like the old 
Heathkit VF-1 a little better, mostly due to the greatly simplified 
tuning mechanism, and I always felt it was maybe a tiny bit more 
mechanically stable too.  I have them both, and the difference is slight.
