[Heathkit] SB 200, 220 amplifier usage for Kenwood or Heath xcvrs

If the Harbach soft key module is install so that the newer solid state
xcvr's can key up the amplifiers. 
Out of curiosity can I just plug in an SB 101 or 102 and key up the
same amp with the harbach device installed in the SB 200 or 220 in
place? 
Or am I forced to chose between a SB rig vs. a Kenwood TS rig from the
start?
