I am Renovating the SB-610 for several of the guys & on my 8th one so far.
The Intensity Pot .. a 500k Ohm with an On/Off Function Switch has
a 330K Ohm 1/2 Watt Resistor going to Pin 1 over from the Focus Pot.
Pin 2 also has a 330K Ohm going to the CRT, and Pin 3 has a 100K Ohm also going to the CRT.
All these Resistors have been upped to 1 Watters.
I've done several of these Scopes and everyone has the same problem.
When you first turn the scope on ... you've got to turn the pot up
to almost 2/3rds the way to see a trace line.
Has anyone experimented with different values of these Resistors
to get the Traceline brighter when turned on -less than- 2/3rds the way up ?
Thanks guys
Carl, k4zrd
