Yes,
the DX-100 has (4) xtal sockets, the (B) has 1. The DX-100 has no means
unless modified for SSB, the DX-100B comes with additional circuitry and
connectors to allow use with the Heathkit SB-10 SSB adapter.

The DX-100 uses a switched mica capacitor assembly for the loading,
while
the 100B, has a variable cap in its place. The circuit from the 5763 out
is broken to allow insertion of the SB-10 in the RF path. RF from 5763
drives SB-10, and RF from sb-10 drive the modified ckt for SSB AM
operation
There are added bias circuits as well.

You would need the manuals to truly see the differences.
