Hi Ernie:
I have used an ameritron qsk board model EBS-1/EBS-1H in tried it
into a Drake L-75 hf amp which uses single 3-500Z tube and it made a
great difference in the idling current from 80/100 ma down to between
0(zero) and 10 ma so a saving of a lot of watts (200 to 240) with that
board installed in it. I now plan to install the same board into a Henry
3K Classic II export which uses a single 3CX1200A7 and draws close to
200 ma on when keyed up so that's approximately 800 watts going into
waste. I much recommend their board.
